History is full of national idols and mythologies and each generation attempts to critically examine them considering newly discovered records or other forms of questions.

Many national mythologies have been dismantled through critical evaluation of history such as the French resistance and collaboration with Nazi Germany and a better understanding for events in general.

However, there is a strong wish within the academic and political community to dismantle the national psyche of a country’s people.

Attempts are made to strip or create an image of a people and their country.

List of accusations are long, and accusations are severe.

  • Who started the Second World War and who prolonged it?

  • What historical narrative is a mythology of making people live in an illusion?

From September 1938 Munich Agreement on Hitler's terms signed by the top leaders of Germany, France, Britain, and Italy to August 1939 Molotov–Ribbentrop non-aggression pact between Nazi Germany and Soviet Union compared to the 75 Years Elbe celebration commemorating U.S. and Russian troops meeting April 25, 1945 at the Elbe River.

  • What lies between victor’s justice and historical revisionism?

  • When has history been falsified and politicized for the sake of legitimacy and institutionalization?
